Ralph and Kirsten's journey began in 2012 when they initially crossed paths on match.com. It may seem improbable given their shared workplace, residence in Lanesborough, and intertwined familial connections—two of their children attended the same class, and Ralph even assumed the role of coach for Kirsten's son in basketball. Despite these proximities, their interactions had been limited to casual queries like "hey coach, what time is pick up?" Until, that is, Kirsten received a message that read, "any fish in the sea?"
Over the past 11 years, their lives have been a whirlwind of parenting six children, engaging in various sports; coaching, managing two households, and navigating the challenges of the pool business (Ralph's impending retirement is no jest!). The amalgamation of their families has created a modern-day Brady Bunch, with three boys and three girls. Yet, as the youngest ventured off to college two years ago, Ralph seized the opportunity to propose—a moment frozen in time at the Middle Covered Bridge in Woodstock, VT, amid a snowstorm and frigid -5 degree weather.
Reflecting on their journey, Ralph and Kirsten cherish myriad memories. From their first date at LaPerla to traversing the scenic landscapes of Kenai Fjords in Alaska, Glacier National Park, and Yellowstone, Montana. They also hold dear the camaraderie of Pitch Crew gatherings and the warmth of Sunday night dinners with family.
As they eagerly anticipate the next chapter, Ralph and Kirsten are thrilled to celebrate their love in the company of their children, closest family, and friends at the picturesque Henry House in September of 2024.
